This is a 3 day a week role within the Allied Care Team providing specialist Massage Therapy with palliative care clients and carers in their homes.
Providing appropriate assessment and delivery of massage services to clients and their carers in consultation with the interdisciplinary team.
Participate in and contribute to team education as appropriate
Contribute to excellent interdisciplinary practice according to the policies and practice of Melbourne City Mission Palliative Care
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience working in a palliative care setting. The preferred applicant will have the ability to connect well with clients and work collaboratively with our wider MCMPC staff.
Completion of accredited Oncology Massage Training and/or prior massage therapy work experience within palliative care or oncology setting.
Eligible for Membership with a professional massage association (i.e. AAMT, AMT, BTFA, AIMA or ATMS)
