Family Sensitive Practice

In partnership with the Bouverie Centre, The Family Reconciliation and Mediation Program (FRMP) is offering a FREE training session focused on Family Sensitive Practice.

The training will be led by Franca Butera-Prinzi (she/her), a Senior Family Practice Consultant and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience as a clinician, trainer, supervisor, and consultant.

This session is designed for practitioners, team leaders, and managers working with young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

The training session will be interactive, encouraging group discussions, case reflections, and the use of practice frameworks to inform work with young people and their chosen families. Topics covered will include:

  • The importance of a family-relational framework
  • Understanding family-sensitive practice
  • Applying a trauma-informed approach
  • Integrating culture
  • Engaging families and fostering hope
  • Implementing family-sensitive practice in the workplace
  • Worker self-care
