Melbourne City Mission’s workplace giving program provides employers and employees the opportunity to help support people in our community who need it most.

You can make an impact for the cost of a cup of coffee

For as little as $5 per week (or $20 a month), you can help make a difference and be a member of our growing community who give in a special way.

Your gift could support a young person experiencing homelessness, provide care to someone with a life-limiting illness or help families who are doing it tough get back on their feet.

The possibilities are endless when we work together. And even the smallest gifts can have a lasting impact.

For employers

If you wish to offer this opportunity to your team, you can invite your employees to donate to MCM through their pay

Follow the steps below to get started.

Step 1:

Invite your employees to join the program by including a form in their onboarding paperwork.

Step 2:

Ask your employees to nominate MCM as their preferred charity and then specify the amount they wish to donate. Learn more about workplace giving and how to set it up on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) website.

For employees

You can donate money directly through your pay on a regular basis and receive a tax-deduction as you give. Alternatively, you are welcome to make your own regular gifts via credit card or single gifts.

If you become a regular donor through your pay, donations will be made from your pre-tax salary.

At the end of the financial year, you’ll receive a tax receipt detailing each donation that was made the previous year.

If you’d like to get involved, complete the contribution form, and nominate the amount you wish to donate each pay cycle.

Send the completed form to your payroll officer and ask them to set it up for you.
