The Youth and Community Participation program was created to assist young people to connect with their peers, the broader community and programs and activities to re-engage or build the tools and skills for life. The team provides a range of opportunities, including:
Young people who access Frontyard are actively encouraged to participate in programs and activities. They are provided the opportunity to work alongside program workers to develop activities to their preference.
All activities hold purpose and are run according to our fundamental domains Community Recreation, Health and Wellbeing and Tools and Skills for Life.
Sitting within the Youth and Community Participation Team, young people also have access to specialised workers whose role is help young people to create a pathway to employment. Delivered in partnership with Youth Projects, young people have access to responsive education, training and employment support, opening up pathways out of homelessness.
