To recognise National Reconciliation Week, MCM would like to invite the Victorian community to a free online conversation with Senior Wurundjeri elder Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin AO and opera singer, academic and filmmaker Tiriki Onus.

Hosted by MCM CEO Vicki Sutton, the panel will discuss this year’s Reconciliation Week theme: Be Brave. Make Change. It is a challenge to everyone—individuals, families, communities, organisations and government—to be brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can make change for the benefit of everyone in our community.

Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin AO

Aunty Joy Murphy Wandin AO is a Senior Wurundjeri elder of the Kulin Nation. In 2001, she was inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women. In 2002, she was awarded the Victorian Aboriginal Women's Award, and in 2006 she was made and officer of the Order of Australia.

Tiriki Onus

Yorta Yorta man Tiriki Onus is an opera singer, academic and filmmaker. He is the Senior Lecturer and Head of the Wilin Centre for Indigenous Arts and Cultural Development, Associate Dean (Indigenous) and Deputy Dean (Place) for the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, Melbourne University.
