Powering a brighter future

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting partnership with Homes Trades Hub Australia a 100% subsidiary of RACV, to bring a sustainable and impactful change to the Hester Hornbrook Academy’s new Werribee campus.

In mid-January RACV Solar will install a cutting-edge 94.5kW solar system featuring 189 high-efficiency 500W panels. Combined with an existing 5kW system, this upgrade will bring our total capacity to 99.5kW – a milestone achievement for our community.

By generating clean, renewable energy, we’ll reduce our energy costs by an estimated $9,500 annually, allowing these savings to be reinvested in what matters most: our students.

Each year, the system will help us avoid 123.9 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to:

• avoiding 3.7 million car kilometres driven,
• 2,652 long-haul flights avoided,
• or planting 23,820 trees.

In addition, the RACV Solar team will install an advanced energy monitoring system.
