MCM transitions Supported Independent Living services to Able Australia

On 11 July 2022, MCM ceased providing Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, with employees, management and support transitioning to Able Australia, a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in the field.

This decision will ensure long-term sustainability for these vital services, which support around 40 participants living with disability in 10 houses across Melbourne.

Able Australia already provides services in more than 50 houses, so they are well equipped to deliver the highest quality support for participants and their families, now and into the future.

A dedicated team has worked with residents, families and staff over the last two months to ensure a smooth transition.

No other MCM services are affected by this change.
