We encourage you to read the following House Rules carefully, as they provide information about using the Community in a way that is respectful and lawful. By using, or submitting material to, the Community you agree that you have read, understood and accept, and agree by the House Rules.
The terms, conditions and policies that apply to specific social networks, such as Facebook or Twitter, also apply to MCM profiles they host. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with those terms and conditions before participating in the Community. We disclaim any liability associated with your use of those services, or failure to view or comply with their terms, conditions and policies. Where there is a conflict between these House Rules and the terms and conditions of the relevant social media channels, the social media channels’ terms and conditions will prevail.
MCM staff, sub-contractor, volunteers, that engage with our communities online are expected to comply with MCM policies and procedures including code of conduct, ICT acceptable use policy and privacy policy.

The appearance of external links or comments on our Community does not constitute official endorsement on behalf of MCM.
Our Community has ‘Profanity Blacklist’ set to strong and therefore Facebook will automatically remove any posts/comments that involve any level of profanity.

MCM strives to create a Community online where we actively share and raise awareness of our work to support people out of disadvantage. We encourage a dialogue with people engaged in our Community in accordance with the House Rules outlined above.
All of MCM's Community will be monitored and actively moderated during standard business hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5 pm AEST (unless otherwise stated and excluding public holidays).

MCM uses a post-moderation process: your comment is published immediately and will assessed in accordance with our House Rules.
It is important to note; the Australian Government has strict guidelines on discrimination and intimidation. Therefore, MCM takes a strong stance on deleting content which is illegal, discriminatory, hateful or threatening; and actions which may offend, insult, humiliate or intimidate or otherwise breach our House Rules.

There may be times when posts or comments that breach the House Rules appear on the Community before they can be removed. Please contact MCM if you are aware of any post of comment that is in breach of the House Rules, you can alert the moderator of that space by direct message or email.
